ZIEGLER GROUP buys ``Steinwaldhaus`` in Pfaben
The Ziegler Group expands its gastronomic portfolio with a gem in the northern Upper Palatinate: The Steinwaldhaus in Erbendorf
The ZIEGLER GROUP expands its gastronomy and hotel division and purchases the Steinwaldhaus in Erbendorf at the end of May 2021. The Plößberg-based company is thus already investing in its third property: In addition to the Holzfellas in Wiesau, the Devils Diner in the Weiden ice stadium will also open in the near future. The Steinwaldhaus in Pfaben near Erbendorf offers great development potential on a total area of 22,769 square meters. Located in the middle of the nature park, there are currently 64 hotel rooms, 31 vacation apartments and a restaurant area. The latter features a revolving restaurant where guests can enjoy the panorama of the Upper Palatinate Forest. On May 28, the staff was informed about the change of ownership by the current owners and by representatives of the ZIEGLER GROUP. Among them was also Andreas Sandner, managing director of the ZIEGLER GROUP. He emphasized that all workers will remain employed and are of great importance as a foundation for future activities. Concrete plans for the redesign are currently being worked out. A modern concept is to be created that will appeal to locals and tourists alike. The focus will be on the expansion of the wellness and leisure area as well as a gastronomic offer that concentrates on regional specialties. Thus the Steinwaldhaus shall shine in new splendor and become a point of attraction in the region! The ZIEGLER GROUP is already looking forward to numerous guests from near and far!
